Lufthansa Cargo expands A321F network in Europe4 December 2023 Lufthansa Cargo is expanding its A321F network in Europe with the introduction of Helsinki, and additional capacity from Copenhagen. On September 28, Lufthansa Cargo will start operating from Helsinki to Copenhagen once a week. The airline said it will also add a second frequency a week from Copenhagen to Frankfurt for commercial cargo, flight number LH8355. The routings will offer connections from Frankfurt to the entire Lufthansa Cargo network. To increase capacity, a further connection to Stockholm will follow soon, stated the airline. The routings will allow late deliveries in Helsinki and Copenhagen and offer connections from Frankfurt the next morning to the Lufthansa Cargo network. “[These new flights] reflect, geographically alone, what we want to offer our customers with our A321F: Fast services, across borders and matching the needs of the transported goods,” said Ashwin Bhat, chief executive of Lufthansa Cargo. The carrier has been offering customers scheduled and charter services with its A321Fs for a year. Since the end of June, Lufthansa Cargo has been operating with three A321Fs. The fleet will grow to a total of four aircraft soon, said the airline. Each Airbus twin-engine medium-haul A321F has 14 pallet and container positions on the maindeck and ten on the lower deck to offer a total payload of 28 metric tons. Lufthansa Cargo launched its intra-European A321F medium-haul network in March. Lufthansa Cargo also recently announced it would increase its freighter flights to Mexico and Asia.
